Saint Johns Cemetery was established in 1848 by the Catholic Diocese of Springfield as the first Catholic cemetery in Worcester County. The cemetery covers 25 acres and contains over 20,000 graves, including many prominent Irish immigrants and their descendants who contributed to the development of Worcester and its industries.
