Peterborough--Dufferin Concrete pond and trails

About this Location

You can access this site via the gate where Trentview Rd. meets MacFarlane Ave. There is room to park one ore two vehicles. Please don't block the gate.

This location covers several different areas:
1. The un-named pond on Curtis Creek (possibly officially Curtis Pond) is known locally as Dufferin Concrete Pond due to the proximity of the adjacent concrete plant. The pond is visible from Parkhill Road across from Kingsdale Drive.
2. The gravel pathway along the east bank of the canal from Parkhill Rd to the end of McFarlane Ave.
3. The network of narrow trails throughout the interior property.

The network of trails (#3, above) were formerly open to the public but, while the property is not posted, they may now be closed due to a recent change in ownership (if you have information about their current status, please suggest an edit).

Notable Trails

The unmarked, but well used narrow trails, crisscross the property and are popular with local dog walkers.

Some of the wider trails show evidence of ATV use.
