The entrance to this trail is at the end of the perpendicular parking area (perpendicular from the street) to the right (west) side of the Dietert Center.
There are no parking signs right in front of the Dietert Center. Parking for the trailhead is west of the center, closer to the river.
Once you enter the walking path, if you go to the right (upriver) there are more pools of water which is where you will find your waterfowl.
To the left of the trailhead (down river), is more of a riparian area where you will get more woodland species.
A Limpkin was found at this location in 2023.
The trail along the river is nice, wide and concrete, making for a very nice wheelchair accessible trail.
