About this Location

Morton Bend Road follows a loop in the riverbend of the Coosa River.  Total length of Morton Bend Road is 8.3 miles. Wonderful views of river bottomland, farm fields, and forests. Birding Shipley Road can also be productive.  Also, there is a large swamp along Georgia 100 between the two entrances to Morton Bend Road, however traffic along the highway can make it difficult to view.
