Tips for Birding

This can be a good vantage point for watching raptors and other soaring birds migrating down the valley, though probably not as good for this as the Luther bridge.  The bluff forests have typical woodland species and might occasionally have Eastern Whip-poor-will.  The river itself may have herons, egrets, pelicans, etc. depending on water levels downstream at Saylorville.

Birds of Interest

Migrant raptors and forest species.
