One can park on one of the one-way streets named Caledonia, any adjacent side street, or in the parking lot for Meals on Wheels. Circle the park to scan the trees that rim the park. Look for horizontal sapsucker holes that may be in use during the winter. Many houses have flowering ornamentals that can attract migrants in spring and fall. Five species of woodpecker are resident here. Western Gulls are regular flyovers.
Yellow-bellied and Red-breasted Sapsuckers have wintered here in past years. Large flocks of Cedar Waxwings and Robins are attracted to the holly berries.
Caledonia Park has a public playground, basketball court, picnic tables, and restrooms.
