Check out brushy areas along the road for birds.
eBird shows several sparrow species, mostly in the winter. The warbler list is short. There are wet areas visible from the road where ducks, shorebirds, and wading birds can be seen.
This is a 5-1/2 mile country road running between I-10 and FM3015.The first two miles running south from I-10 is asphalt. The rest is gravel. This is roadside birding . The eBird marker is near a section of the Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR in Austin County. This is east of Beckendorf Road and is not normally open to the public. The rest of the property on both sides of the road is private property. For the most part this is open cow pastures.
