Official WebsiteThe Marsh River Bog Preserve is a 54-acre property that features loop trails and a bog, opening up a natural community to exploration that few people ever have a chance to see. Cotton grass, bog orchids, cranberries, and stunted trees cling to a floating mat of peat moss in the center of the bog.
The preserve, marked by a large sign, is located on the north side of US-1, just west of Snead Spur which connects US-1 and River Road. Pull off US-1 and into the parking area for 6 cars among the tall pines.
