This can be a good place for winter finches in years when they are around. Canada Jay and Black-backed Woodpecker are both possible here as well.

Kawartha Nordic is a private ski club with an extensive trail system through mixed forest. A daily or seasonal pass is required. During the off season, the trails are closed to the public.
