Lieutenant Island is a small island connected to the mainland by a causeway and wooden bridge that floods during high tide, making the island inaccessible for several hours a day. The island has secluded beaches, salt marshes, and wildlife. Lieutenant Island is home to a community of artists, writers, and musicians who find inspiration in its peaceful and scenic surroundings.
Lieutenant Island is west of US-6 on Lieutenant Island Road which crosses Logay Bay to reach the island.
