This is a roadside picnic area on a very, very busy highway. There will probably not be any birding-by-ear here. But the historical marker and history of the "Granite Mountain," as the locals call it, makes this an interesting and worthwhile stop even without good birding opportunities. There are covered picnic tables, in case you want to eat a bite of lunch while you are here.
