Savoy Mountain State Forest covers over 11,000 acres of land, with elevations ranging from 1,200 to 2,566 feet. Visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, camping, fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing in the forest. The forest is home to several rare and endangered species, such as the northern goshawk, the wood turtle, and the bog lemming. Savoy Mountain State Forest also features some historical and cultural sites, such as the Savoy Homestead, the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, and the Old Growth Forest Trail.
