Tips for Birding

Most of the "action" will be down near the water but be sure the check out the woods along the road going in, too.

Almost at the end of the road, on the right, is a small pond. Check this pond for shorebirds in the wintertime.

In November, 2023, when the lake was 60% full, there was a second smaller pond closer to the lake which held ducks and attracted Great Egret and Great Blue Heron.

Willows along the shoreline may host spring migrants.

It appeared, in November 2023, that this park and marina are not fully functional or operational, so not sure how busy this location may or may not be.

Birds of Interest

Winter waterfowl.
