  • The largest pitch pine forest on Nantucket, which serves as an important breeding and foraging habitat for mammals and birds.
  • Abundance of wildlife including Great Blue Herons, Northern Harriers, Great Crested Flycatchers, and many songbirds.
  • In early summer, Pink Lady's Slipper and other beautiful wildflowers line the sanctuary's woodland trails.
  • Ospreys return each year to breed on a nesting pole on the southern portion of the property.
