Bryan, Texas 77807

Tips for Birding

Lake Bryan is great for waterfowl in the fall and winter. You will need a scope most likely, as the lakes are large and access is limited to only a few vantage points. In the summer, it is usually filled with boaters and fishermen. Parking for East Lake is along the one-way road before you get to the lake. Parking for West Lake is at the swim beach. Roads are mostly one-way, so you will see the parking areas.

Birds of Interest

Waterfowl, shorebirds. Rarities such as scoters and coastal birds such as Royal Tern, Reddish Egret, and Magnificent Frigatebird have shown up with strong cold fronts or hurricanes, respectively.

About this Location
