Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is a private research university located in Worcester, the second largest city in New England. WPI was founded in 1865 and is one of the first engineering and technology universities in the United States.
WPI's campus covers more than 95 acres on Boynton Hill, overlooking the city and offering a scenic view of the surrounding area. The campus features historic buildings, modern facilities, green spaces, and public art.
