Winnant Park was created in 2009 as a tribute to former Governor John Winant and his wife Constance, who lived on the estate that once covered the land. The park is a gift from their son Rivington and his wife Joan, who worked with the City, Five Rivers Conservation Trust, and St. Paul's School to preserve the natural beauty and habitat of the area. The park has 85 acres of pine-oak forests and trails that offer scenic views of the city and the school.
Winant Park is managed by the City of Concord.
