Many will prefer to bird the entrance road and then some of the paved trail to the right (north) and left (south) of the trailhead kiosk.

This hotspot is for historical checklists, or for those who choose to park at the Strand Trailhead (where the point is located) and bird short distances to the north and/or south on the Louisville Loop trail, and on the entrance road to the parking lot. There is a kiosk and bathrooms at the trailhead.

This group of hotspots are positioned close together. The overall hotspot has its pin located at the trailhead parking lot, and the other two hotspots (one to the north and one to the south) are further away from the trailhead in the different directions.

The Strand (please use a more specific location) - use this hotspot for historic checklists, or for when you bird the entrance road and walk a bit to the north and the south, without continuing to the neighboring parks (each at least 2 miles from the trailhead).

The Strand--North (High Bridge, Catfish Bend, The Ascent) - Park at the trailhead and walk north (to the right) up to Pope Lick Park, about 2 miles. Alternatively, use this hotspot if you walk south from Pope Lick Park--Prairie Preserve hotspot.

The Strand--South (Walnut Grove, The Palisades, Mussel Bend) - Park at the trailhead and walk south (to the left) down to Turkey Run Park, about 2.75 miles. Alternatively, use this hotspot if you walk north from Turkey Run Park--Entrance Area hotspot.

Louisville Loop. Note that at this location, the "loop" isn't really a loop per se; the trailhead is approximately at the midpoint between Pope Lick Park to the north and Turkey Run Park to the south. There are separate hotspots for these full trails.
