Hotspot covering the sea and the immediate surroundings north and south of the crossing between Borðoy and Kunoy. Relatively sheltered area that might attract some seabirds in winter periods. For example, Velvet Scoter (Melanitta fusca) and Little Gull (Hydrocoloeus minutus) are two quite rare winter guests in the Faroes, and both have been seen here in December/January.
