Usually bird along the river. I have not birded the area around the old fort.

Woodpeckers, sparrows and bald eagle

Modifications of the area along the river has changed the habitat. Some old growth woodlands still exist. It could could change if it is allowed to grow-up. Used to be a spot for Peregrine Falcon. Power plant is gone, no nest site any more.
