This hotspot is generally used to find waterfowl, heron, and egrets. It can be a good spot to look for species like Green-winged teals and Ringed-necked ducks which can otherwise be tricky to find in Northern Berkshire County.
Moore's Pond is part of the Hoosic River watershed and is fed by Hemlock Brook. The pond is popular for fishing, boating, and swimming in the summer, and ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. The pond has a surface area of about 10 acres and a maximum depth of 12 feet.
