Park at either of the two parking areas. The powerline cut trail and field are good for warblers and sparrows. The heard trail along the little river is good for warblers in spring and fall.
Over 100 birds have been documneted at Birmingham. Fall brings most of the wood warblers and flycatchers. The fields are good for sparrows including Field, Savannah, White throated and Song. The swampy area below the powerline cut is good for Louisana Waterthrush, Hooded, Worm Eating and Kentucky warblers. Fall usually brings in waves of Cedar Waxwings and Purple Finches
