Scituate Reservoir is the largest freshwater body in Rhode Island. Since the waterbody is a drinking water supply for the city of Providence, direct public access is forbidden. While there are several causeways and bridges that go over the reservoir, none of them have a safe place to pull over and park, parking along the road before/after the bridge is forbidden per posted signs. This hotspot represents one of the only spots where a portion of the reservoir can be safely observed from the sidewalk of US-6.
