8440 Greenhouse Road, Cypress, Texas 77433
Official WebsiteLeast Terns can be seen and heard in the summer, plus an interesting variety of migrating shorebirds can be found in the spring and fall. When the water level is low in the lakes, mudflats can be very birdy especially the south and west sides of the north lake - trails just past where the hotspot pin is will give you good views of the mudflats. Being a flood control project, sometimes the water level is high in both lakes though and there are no mudflats.
This 190-acre park contains a lake fed by Langham Creek. Parking is available near the community center on Greenhouse Rd, with an additional parking lot off Longenbaugh Rd.
Park hours 7:00am - dusk.
Park is adjacent to a flood control basin. The county has changed this park in recent years, so no wooded areas remain. There is little shade but there are a few benches. The hotspot pin takes you to a dam that connects the south lake and the northeast lake.
Official hike and bike trail is paved, 1.18 miles in length. Unpaved trails can get muddy and slippery.
