Old Longview Lake is now part of a subdivision and is not accessible to the public for walking along the shoreline. However, Pergola Park Drive passes the historic Pergola, a National Register property that was part of Longview Farm (1914). The lake can be viewed from the roadside at this point. The Pergola can be reached from the traffic circle at the junction of SW Longview Road and SW Longview Boulevard in Lee's Summit. Take Redbuck Circle south from the traffic circle for 1/4 mile to SW Gale Drive, turn right, and the Pergola will be visible. See the photo of the Pergola on this website.
