About this Location

Monument Beach sits on Phinneys Harbor, a round harbor that’s protected by the arm of Mashnee Island curving out from the mainland. These sheltered waters provide excellent habitat for waterbirds. In summer, keep your eyes peeled for ospreys, gulls, and cormorants, which you might spot perched on a mooring ball, drying their wings in the sun after diving for fish.

Monument Beach looks out upon the Bourne entrance to the Cape Cod Canal and the Monument Beach Marina. Along Shore Road in Bourne,
