You can walk along the beach and bird. There are often mixed flocks of Laughing Gulls, Royal Terns, Forster's Terns and Ring-billed Gulls. There are often Brown Pelicans soaring above the Dunes. I often drive along the road and stop when  there is a group of birds. Sometimes this is every 100 yards.

Mustang Island boasts 18 miles of beautiful, largely undisturbed Texas coastline. Visitors can drive right up to the water and barbecue, play horseshoes, camp out, or just enjoy the cool ocean breeze.
