About this Location

Plymouth Town Wharf is a historic wharf located in Plymouth. It was built in 1749 as a commercial pier for the town's thriving maritime trade. The wharf served as a landing place for goods and passengers, as well as a fishing and shipbuilding center. The wharf witnessed many important events in American history, such as the arrival of the Mayflower II in 1957, the visit of President John F. Kennedy in 1961, and the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrims' landing in 2020.
