The park has a lot of habitat features that make it appealing for birding. The open meadows provide a good opportunity for hawk watching and shrubby edges surrounding the forests provide a good habitat to view migratory passerines in the spring and autumn. Trails linking to Gammino Pond go through mature forests, swampy habitat, and provide a view of open water providing opportunities to see waterfowl, wetland dwelling species, and birds that prefer mature forests.
