Success Pond covers an area of about 282 acres and has a maximum depth of 20 feet. The pond also attracts many birds, including loons, herons, ducks, and eagles. 

Success Pond is adjacent to the Maine-New Hampshire border. Success Pond Road divides at a Y and passes the pond on both the east and west.
