The marsh is only several acres, but noteworthy birds such as Wilson's Snipe, Hooded Merganser, and Rudy Duck have shown up here.

The American Center Marsh (its real name is the "American Commerce Conservancy Centre" but that's too long) is located on 11 Mile Road in Southfield. A good way to get there is to follow Franklin to American Drive. Follow American Drive until you see a small marsh and the beginning of the boardwalk. There is no parking at the mini-marsh, so you have to use one of the company's parking lots. If you do miss American Drive, continue along Franklin to 11 Mile Road. Make a right on 11 Mile Road, and drive until you see the small marsh. Once you see the marsh, take the first street on the right. (which is American Drive). Again, you have to use one of the company parking lots.
