Boggy Slough Conservation Area is a privately-owned property in eastern Trinity County, owned by the T.L.L. Temple Foundation. Access is typically granted to researchers or family and business connections.
The T.L.L. Temple Foundation’s mission for Boggy Slough is to serve as a model of excellence for East Texas through ecological research and outreach to promote conservation, management, and stewardship of natural resources.
The vision for the Boggy Slough Conservation Area is threefold: to serve as a model for conservation and land management for a wide range of audiences, to serve as a catalyst for creating a stewardship ethic and connection to nature in our communities, and to fill critical research holes regarding the forest and bottomland ecosystems of the Southeast.
