This park is situated between a major North South U. S. Highway and railroad tracks.
The highway noise makes it difficult to bird by ear at this location.
There is a small cleared area to access the Mission Riverand a nice, thick tangle of heavy understory vegetation between that cleared spot in the highway.
It is also possible to walk up along the eastern fence line underneath the railroad track.
Surprisingly, birds may be found in the central mowed area that has small trees, including Eastern Bluebirds, Yellow-rumped Warblers and Chipping Sparrows.
