Typical suite of nesting species expected in this habitat; good possibilities for viewing migrants following the river.

Directions: From Jefferson City, take U.S. Hwys. 50/63 southeast about 10 miles to Rt. J (Taos/Osage City exit). Turn left and go about four miles to Osage City. Turn left on 4th Street to Hickory Road and continue until it dead-ends at the site parking lot.

One-half mile trail goes uphill and along the bluff, giving some access to bottoms and good opportunity to seek typical oak-hickory dwelling species. Fine view of the Missouri River at the top.
