Tips for Birding

This fairly large reservoir can be viewed from Ranch Road 2593 from the north. A spotting scope is necessary.

Birds of Interest

Snow Goose, all ducks, Scaled Quail, all grebes, Lesser and Common Nighthawk, all shorebirds, gulls, terns, loons, waders. Swainson's and Red-tailed Hawk, Burrowing Owl, all swallows, Curve-billed and Crissal Thrasher, American Pipit, most desert sparrows, Pyrrhuloxia, Painted Bunting.

About this Location

The reservoir property is closed to the public. Absolutely no entrance. The reservoir can be viewed from Ranch Road 2593 from the north. A spotting scope is necessary.
