Puckerpod Swamp is a wetland complex that covers an area of about 200 acres and contains a variety of habitats, open water, marsh, shrub swamp, forested swamp, and upland forest. The wetland is home to the bog turtle, the purple fringed orchid, the swamp pink, and the puckerpod. The puckerpod is a carnivorous plant that traps insects with its sticky hairs and digests them with enzymes. Puckerpod Swamp is protected by the New Hampshire Natural Heritage Bureau and the Nature Conservancy and is open to the public for educational and recreational purposes.

Beaver Brook flows under and parallels NH-12A. Old County Road and Hedgehog Road also cross Beaver Creek in this area.
