Sunset Lake is located on Safford Street (off Franklin Street, MA-37) in South Braintree. During the summer months, the lake park offers public bathing, sunbathing, and fishing plus, beginning in late June, a Tuesday night Sunset Concert Series. The lake opens to the public at 10 am and closes at dusk daily. Please use the beachfront parking lot as there is no on-street parking on Safford Street. No motorized boats are allowed but canoes, sailcraft, and rowboats are permitted. The lake is staffed with Red Cross-certified lifeguards during the summer months.

There is a fee for parking at the beach.
