27067 Sharp Road Katy, Texas 77493
This spot is a local favorite for roadside birding, especially in winter. There is no designated parking or trails. Great for grassland species and owling. Pull over the shoulder to park the car in the grass. Occasionally seed is spread by birders near the fence.
All local sparrows (White-throated, White-crowned, Vespers, Lincoln, Fox, Grasshopper, Harris, Song)
Finches
Eastern Screech-owl
Great Horned Owl
American Woodcock (uncommon)

This is an unprotected roadside birding area. While traffic is relatively low, extreme caution should be used when parking, entering and exiting vehicles, and birding in this area, especially if owling.
