Tips for Birding

This spot is behind St. Boniface Episcopal Church. It was put in some time ago and appears not to have been maintained.

But, despite the lack of upkeep, it might still be worth a short visit if you are in the area. There's a nice pasture/field across the fence to the north where sparrows might be found in the winter, a nice large oak motte to watch for warblers in the spring, fences and power poles to scan and plants around the church to attract hummingbirds.

There is not an official path but the yellow highlighted area on the map on hotspot page shows a suggestion for walking the area.

Maybe with time, and if enough birders let the church staff know they are visiting the site, the church might revive its care for this spot.
