Monan Park has several sports field venues associated with UMass High School. The park is named after John J. Monan, a former president of Boston College who was instrumental in the development of the park. 

The University of Massachusetts Boston campus is located on Columbia Point with views of Boston Bay and includes Harbor Point Park with a HarborWalk.
