Middlebury Falls is a wide 18-foot block-style falls located in the town of Middlebury.
From the municipal parking area on Mill Street, walk east back towards the downtown area of Middlebury. Before you reach Main Street, turn left and cross a long pedestrian bridge over Otter Creek. You’ll be able to see the falls from the bridge. Continue across the rest of the bridge and you’ll reach Riverfront Park, which offers perhaps the finest heads-on views of the falls. After enjoying the pretty little park and its distant views of the falls, you can either return the way you came or create a loop that walks through a portion of downtown. To complete the loop, turn right onto Printers Alley and then turn right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street south for .1 mile and turn right onto Mill Street to return to your vehicle.
The downtown area of Middlebury is very attractive and is worthy of wandering around for several hours. There are several boutique shops and restaurants here. You can also walk west to visit the campus of Middlebury College as well.
