The West Carrollton Barrett Gravel Pit is on private property. The viewing area is a small hill near the entrance. The property line is well defined. Birds can easily be seen unobstructed with a scope without going onto the property. On business days a few trucks may enter and leave and are always friendly and wave. There is plenty of room on the shoulder to park. There are around 10 feet for you to pull off. Except for rush hours, Farmersville Road is not that busy. When the gate is closed there is room for 4 or 5 cars on the pull-off.
