Cahoon Hollow Beach features a dramatic landscape accentuated by massive dunes on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Two long, steep paths lead down a slightly eroded 75-foot dune from the sand parking lot to the beach. The steep dune path tends to discourage families with younger children and older adults. Cahoon Hollow is a popular beach for young adults due to The Wellfleet Beachcomber, a popular seaside bar and restaurant located in the beach parking lot. Neither lot is paved.
