Tips for Birding

There is limited on-street parking on the north side of Marietta Street, from which one can access the south side of the lake. Binoculars will reach all parts of the lake, but a scope can be useful, particularly for the cormorants on the old pilings in the center and on the far shore. Probably not birded as often as it should be.

Birds of Interest

Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks, often in good numbers; both Double-crested and Neotropic Cormorants; Great Blue Heron and Great Egret; ducks in winter
