There’s a variety of habitats for a suburban park. Besides the lake and trees/grassy edges of the trail, there is a creek and several open fields (one with a birdy brushy area just past it at the southeast point of the lake).

Unusual and rare ducks can be found here in the winter plus other surprises mostly during migration and in the winter.

Harris County PCT 3 park with two entrances & two parking lots. There are restrooms at both parking lots plus dog parks at the north parking lot & playground at the south parking lot. There’s not much shade, but small trees line the mostly asphalt trail around the lake (1.97 mi).
