The North Parcel is bordered on the west by Sandy Point Rd. and Fire Rte. 72, on the south by Elim Lodge Rd., on the east by Bear Creek Rd. The northern boundary is an access road that runs west approximately 2 km up Bear Creek Rd.

Hammer Family Nature Preserve is owned by the Kawartha Land Trust

There are currently (May 2024) no official trails.
