The West parcel includes most of Sandy Point. It is bordered on the west by Pigeon Lake and on the east by Elim Lodge Rd to approximately 0.6 km south of Fire Rte. 73 and Sandy Point Rd. approximately 0.3 km north of Fire Rte. 73.

There are a number of buildings on this parcel, including a house, a log cabin, and an abandoned lodge.

Note: Kawartha Land Trust will be erecting property boundary signs around the perimeter of the property in the near future.

Hammer Family Nature Preserve is owned by the Kawartha Land Trust

There are currently (May 2024) no official trails.
