A "playa" is a shallow depression that occasionally become a shallow lake with rainfall. Playas are particularly good spots in the Texas Panhandle for wintering waterfowl.

The entrance to the country club is on Farm to Market 1780. The playa lakes are on either side of Farm to Market 1337 (which is east of the country club) immediately south of the intersection with FM 1780. The playas are on both sides of FM 1337.

Winter waterfowl tend to congregate at this playa.
