The camp is private and not accessible without special permission. This eBird Hotspot is often used for birds found along the section of TX-166 that passes by Bloys Camp. There are several large oak trees along the highway with a close steep hill side to the south. There are two pull outs, one next to several oaks. There is a deep (approx 30-40 ft) ravine to the south side of the highway across from the east pull-out. Also a rocky hill (160 ft rise) across the ravine. These large oaks are a bit of an oasis on this mostly prairie side of the Davis Mountains.
