The Playa de Oro road ends overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is a good place to do some sea-watching. Brown Pelicans, Magnificent Frigatebirds, and Brown and Blue-footed Boobies are ubiquitous. Terns and gulls may appear. You may find a few shorebirds feeding along the beach as well. The surrounding vegetation is good for land birds.
